Costa Rican Animals Band Together to Save Overworked Canadians in New Tourism Campaign

A recent tourism campaign released by Essential Costa Rica takes a hilarious new approach to philanthropy. Rather than trying to save animals of the rainforests, it is now a troupe of adorable animals who are working together in a new tourism campaign to save overworked Canadians.

Singing a cute little song, the animals featured in the video proclaim they are happy to offer their country as a sanctuary to all of the many Canadian workers who are forced to work long, stressful hours and who grow more endangered each day, as a result.

Among the animals featured in the video are a sea turtle and a sloth, all singing along to a song set to the tune of “The Lion Sleeps Tonight.” Clips of overworked, sad Canadians are interspersed with breathtaking photos of Costa Rica’s natural beauty in the video as the animals belt out their song.

The tourism campaign is well timed, as a recent study conducted by Expedia found that 27 percent of workers in Canada carry over unused vacation days, and another 48 percent of Canadians feel they are vacation deprived.

Doing their part to encourage overworked Canadians to use of their vacation days while relaxing in paradise, the animals featured in the video are certain to bring a smile to your face.
